A MAN was lucky to escape serious injury after his car ploughed through a service station in Endeavour Hills.
Police said the driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into the United Petroleum Service Station on Heatherton Road at about 3.30pm last Wednesday week.
The man had a medical issue just before the crash, police said.
No one was seriously injured in the incident which left a trail of damage throughout the store.
United Petroleum spokesman David Szymczak said employees were concerned with the man’s welfare.
“At the end of the day it was pretty fortunate that no-one was hurt, as there was the potential for someone to get hurt,” Mr Szymczak said.
He said the shop had been repaired and was now trading as normal.
