Cash from trash at centre

FUTURE Metals Recycling Centre in Ordish Road, Dandenong South pays top prices for scrap metal.
Opened to the public last week, the centre gives residents the chance to make cash from their trash before a global market crash.
Company director Tyrone Landsman said residents with scrap metal lying around should consider turning it into cash.
“Steel prices have begun to fall,” Mr Landsman said.
“Bring scrap metal in and get paid for it now because the economy is starting to turn.”
Mr Landsman said residents could deliver any quantity or type of scrap metal to the centre.
“We accept everything from car bodies and white goods to electrical wire, stainless steel, corrugated iron, copper, brass and fencing,” he said.
Mr Landsman said a one-way traffic flow, computerised weighbridge and payment system, and covered drop-off area made disposal easy.
“Our team will even unload your scrap metal,” he said.
He said customers who sorted their scrap metal before delivering it to the centre would be paid higher prices.
However, he cautioned people to use discretion in the type of materials they tried to exchange for cash.
“Future Metals Recycling works in conjunction with the police,” he said.
Mr Landsman said Future Metal’s commitment to recycling meant all materials received at the site were sold to be manufactured into new products.
“People with large amounts of waste metal can contact us and arrange to have a skip delivered.
“We can provide services to meet the requirements of individuals, businesses and tradespeople,” he said.
