Award for disabled help

A HAMPTON Park recycling and waste management company has won a state-wide award for a decade spent helping people with a disability.
SITA has been the partner of Outlook Environmental at its Hampton Park site for almost 10 years.
SITA has 26 supported workers employed in recycling and retail activities.
Community Services Minister Lisa Neville awarded SITA for its contribution to the disability sector at the National Disability Services Victoria’s second annual awards on 1 October.
Ms Neville said the passion and dedication of firms like SITA had made a significant difference in the lives of people with a disability.
“Their achievements are outstanding, but they would all agree their success is not solely due to their efforts, but to the opportunity to work with others who share their passion and vision,” Ms Neville said.
Outlook Environmental operates its Hampton Park waster transfer station under a long-term contract with SITA.
