A NARRE Warren school is celebrating the opening of its new Learning Gallery. Teachers and students from Maramba Primary School welcomed Federal MP Anthony Byrne, who officially opened the centre last Friday.
Assistant principal Sue Peterken described the Learning Gallery as a bright and colourful space, equivalent in size to three classrooms.
The centre, built with $149,000 funding from the Federal Government’s Investing in Our Schools Program, includes an area for student performances, class meetings and presentations. The opening ceremony included a performance by the Fountain Gate Secondary College band, a speech from the school’s Planet Savers group on its environmental programs and the presentation of student awards.
