Fire fundraiser packs sizzle

A HAMPTON Park man is giving back to the community by holding the Langbourne Drive Bushfire Fundraiser this Saturday at Amberley Park Shopping Centre.
Mark Dickinson told the News he felt helpless as he drove past the property damage caused by the Narre Warren South fire on Saturday.
“These people lost everything and it’s time to give something back to them,” he said.
Mr Dickinson is supporting the victims of the fire by organising the event, which will run from 8am to 2pm, with a sausage sizzle and activities including a jumping castle, mustang display, rides and air brush tattoos.
Parking will be available at Narre Warren South P-12 College.
“I want the community to know that I’m just a bloke from Hampton Park wanting to do something to help,” he said. “I can’t re-build the houses but I can donate my time and effort to raise some money.”
Marino Biviano from FoodWorks in Narre Warren South has also jumped on board along with 10 other businesses in Narre Warren South.
“We’re giving the families our full support in their time of need, with all of the money raised going into a bank account for the families,” he said.
Amberley Park Shopping Centre is located at the corner of Ormond Road and Seebeck Drive in Narre Warren South.
