Peak train has phantom service

A PEAK hour train service on the Pakenham line has been labelled a “ghost train,” by a local MP. The 5.16pm train from the city was cancelled three times in January and at least five times in February so far.
South East Metropolitan MP Inga Peulich said it was disappointing that a peak hour service for Casey commuters working in the Melbourne CBD from Casey, Cardinia and Greater Dandenong was regularly cancelled.
“But your new service is in fact a ghost train or phantom.” Ms Peulich said the train services on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines were “deplorable.” Melbourne CBD workers use the service to commute from Casey, Cardinia and Greater Dandenong.
