STUDENTS wore their heritage dress to James Cook Primary School last Friday to mark the various cultures that attend the school for Harmony Day.
Many of the students performed traditional dances from their countries in front of several parents, grandparents and the school community.
James Cook Primary School has been marking Harmony Day for more than five years.
Teacher Cheryle Hall said the students enjoyed the diversity of the school community.
“There are more than 40 different nationalities attending the school,” she said.
“And its always interesting watching children tasting the food from other countries.”
