Pedestrians hit by car

TWO pedestrians were taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital after they were struck by a four-wheel drive in Berwick last week.
Advanced life support paramedics and intensive care paramedics were called to the corner of Mansfield Street and Coniston Avenue at 7.30pm on 15 April.
A 27-year-old woman suffered a head injury and cuts and grazes across her body, advanced life support paramedic Shannon Davey said.
The injured woman was fitted with a neck brace and was given oxygen.
Ms Davey said a drip wasput into the woman’s armand she was given pain reliefand fluids before she wastransported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
The 36-year-old man suffered muscle pain and was transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a precaution.
Ambulance Victoria is praising a bystander’s efforts for helping care for the injured woman until paramedics arrived.
