Car park assault

DEECTIVES are on the hunt for three youths who slashed an 18-year-old man across the face with broken glass while in a car park at Westfield Fountain Gate.
The Narre Warren man was attacked by the youths who were on skateboards on 16 May at 4pm, police said.
Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross told the News the man was heading back to his car when he noticed the youths loitering around the top level car park.
He said the youths approached the man, demanded he hand over his wallet and started to assault him.
“One of the youths pushed him to the ground and held him in a head lock,” he said. “It was then that he felt the slashing to his face.”
Det Sen Const Ross said the man suffered minor injuries including half a dozen scratch marks to his face. The offenders fled the scene through the southern ramp.Police said the victim recovered his wallet, minus cash, in near-by bushes.
