Kids roll with healthy choices

STUDENTS at ICA Casey College recalled the knowledge they had learnt about healthy lifestyles on Monday when the school held its celebration of learning day.
The Narre Warren South school held the day to give students the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with each other, while developing their leadership skills and friendships.
Students participated in a range of activities including sushi making, art creations using fruit and vegetables, computer programs designing healthy lunches and scarecrow building.
Local chef Jason Bradford and wine maker Benny D’Angelo volunteered their time to help students in learning about food and the process of wine making.
Prep teacher Jo Sirca said the children thoroughly enjoyed the day, particularly the making of sushi and digging into some warm popcorn. “It encouraged students to recognise and participate in decision making for a healthier lifestyle.” she said.
