SMITHS and Singhs are dominating the streets, having been listed as the two most popular names in and around Narre Warren.
Phone directory publisher Sensis released the top 20 most common surnames to coincide with the release of the 2009-10 Melbourne White Pages directories.
The third hottest name in the area is Brown, fourth was Williams and fifth was Wilson.
Taylor took the sixth position, Jones was seventh and Johnson came in at eighth place.
Ninth place was Martin, and slipping in at number 10 was Young. The White Pages directories will be delivered to all people living throughout Melbourne and its outskirts over the next five to seven weeks.
The front covers feature two well-respected Melbourne musicians, Jonathon Welch and Nicky Bombal.
