THE POLYNESIAN community came together last week as a show of strength after the devastation of the Samoan Tsunami.
More than 100 members of the community converged on the Doveton’s Betula Reserve to speak in one voice to send a positive message to the ones at home and provide support to the affected during these tough times.
Senior Constable Eddy MacDonald said it was a moving ceremony with a Samoan Reverend, Cook Islander Pastor and a Victoria Police senior Chaplain all leading the group in prayer.
“It was wonderful to see the community to come together to offer support to those affected by the Tsunami,” Sen Const MacDonald said.
