BERWICK Brae Retirement Village residents raised $2000 for charity at their annual Christmas Fete on Saturday 21 November.
The Berwick Brae Christmas Fete, organised by the village’s social and crafts clubs attracted 200 guests, who were treated to stalls selling handmade birthday and Christmas cards, trash and treasure and Christmas decorations and gifts.
Manager Arlene Coutts said $500 would be distributed to Casey Hospital, the local SES unit, Berwick CFA and Red Cross.
Ms Coutts said the residents also raised $521.40 from a wedding expo held in October, with the money set to go to Berwick CFA.
