AFTER losing the opening three games, Narre Warren’s Turf One resurgence continues, this time knocking off Springvale South in a convincing manner at Sweeney Reserve.
Springvale South’s score of 89 never threatened Narre’s day-one total of 192.
The consistent bowling performance spearheaded by Trent Anderson (3/23) only allowed three Springvale batsmen to make a score of above six runs.
@BT Sub Sport News:Hallam-Kalora Park d Coomoora
Classy all-rounder Leigh Booth with six wickets was the destructive force behind Hallam-Kalora Park’s 98-run win over Coomoora at the Hallam Recreation Reserve.
After taking his sixth wicket, Booth (6/30) had the visitors reeling at 8/44 and only a final stand by Troy Jeffs (29) pushed the total any higher.
Coomoora eventually fell for 90, a far cry from Hallam-Kalora Park’s day-one total of 188.
@BT Sub Sport News:Parkfield d Doveton
In an evenly matched contest at Robinson Reserve, Doveton pulled up seven runs short of victory.
In similar circumstances to the Parkfield innings, Doveton lost an early wicket but reached 50 runs without any more hiccups.
After Shaun Tongue (53) was dismissed, Doveton were 6/114 and in an identical position to what Parkfield were in a week earlier.

After winning first innings points last week by easily passing Fountain Gate’s dismal score of 68, Dandenong West proceeded to create an 84-run buffer.
In the second innings, Fountain Gate batsmen Luke Hughes (53) and Andrew Gleave (58) moved their team to 199 with a lead of 115 but Dandenong West replied with authority.

@BT Sub Sport News:Cranbourne d HSD
Cranbourne moved five points clear of third position after they beat HSD in a solid showing at Casey Fields.

HSD eventually fell for 176.

Ridges’ quick bowler Steven Sheedy then took off.
