Art goes wild

A NARRE Warren artist has been chosen to showcase her artwork at a wildlife art exhibition next month.
The Wildlife Art Society of Australasia (WASA) is holding an exhibition and sale of both two dimensional and three dimensional pieces.
Local artist Janet Matthews, a member of WASA, is passionate about her art and the animals that feature in it.
Ms Matthews has won many awards and prizes both in Australia and overseas, including the Wild Awards for her drawings of animals.
Career highlights include designing stamp releases for Australia Post and being selected to exhibit in the ‘Focus on Nature’ exhibition in New York.
She has represented City of Casey as a local artist in the Kevin Hill Top Ten Australian Artists Exhibition three times in recent years.
Entry to the Wild Awards exhibition is free.
The exhibition runs from 8 to 29 October at the Barn Gallery at Montsalvat, Hillcrest Avenue, Eltham.
It will be open seven days a week.
