Big summer of fun for teens

THE City of Casey will be offering the Summer Teenage School Holiday Program from 17 – 27 January 2011.
The program caters for teens between 12-17 years old and will be open from Monday to Thursday over the two-week period. It will be closed for Australia Day.
City of Casey manager Youth and Family Services Colette McMahon said the popular program would provide activities such as surfing and excursions to places such as IMAX, Melbourne Museum and the Australian Tennis Open.
“Our Teenage School Holiday programs are always very popular as the City of Casey is committed to providing fun and age-appropriate activities for local young people to participate in,” Ms McMahon said.
“Each school holiday we offer a wide variety of low-cost activities for young people, not only to alleviate the pressure for working parents to find alternative care for their children during holidays, but to also encourage young people to make valuable connections within our community and their peers.”
Transportation to and from the holiday program activities will be provided by the City of Casey and designated pick up and drop off points are located in Cranbourne, Berwick, Hampton Park, Fountain Gate, Endeavour Hills and Doveton.
Bookings for the Summer Teenage School Holiday program are essential and open on 15 December 2010. Parents must also complete a compulsory waiver form in order to process a booking.
All City of Casey school holiday program activities are fully supervised by qualified Council Youth Services officers, and provide a smoke, drug and alcohol free environment for all participants.
For more information, and a full list of activities available, visit www.insideinfo. casey.vic.gov.au or call 9705 5200.
