19 cars set ablaze since 1 May

IN LESS than three months, 19 cars have been set ablaze in the Casey region since 1 May.
Most cars were stolen from the Doveton and Eumemmerring areas, as well as south of the freeway and Hallam factory area.
While there has been no real pattern with make and model of the vehicles, police revealed that about 50 per cent of the cars were more than six years old and generally left unlocked.
Police are advising motorists to be more diligent and to lock doors, park in lit areas and in garages, where possible.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
