STUDENTS at Endeavour Hills Secondary College have a renewed interest in gridiron, after a visit from the Berwick Miners team.
The gridiron footballers took time out fromtheir training schedule to teach the students about the sport.
The Year 8 students have been studying the film Remember the Titans, a movie based on the true story of a 1971 American football team.
After learning about slavery and the American civil rights movement for eight weeks, the football workshop was an exciting break from regular classes for the students.
The visit, on Thursday 15 September, ignited an interest in gridiron for some students who considered joining the Miners junior team.
