SOCCER fans have another place to have fun and stay fit in the City of Casey, with the opening of Reema Reserve Pavilion extension in Endeavour Hills.
The pavilion extension that was opened on 28 September includes a new umpire’s room, more storage space and new change rooms with additional and improved amenities, a new commercial kitchen, public toilets and office space.
Casey Council invested more than $520,000 on extending the Reema Reserve Pavilion, which followed an investment in 2009 of $140,000 from council and $60,000 from the State Government to extend the second playing field at the reserve.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said soccer was a growing and popular sport in the municipality.
“The Reema Reserve Pavilion is a facility that I have no doubt will benefit everyone at the Endeavour United Soccer Club because, like all good projects in our community, the works at this pavilion have come about through co-operation between the club and council,” Cr Balmes said.
