Hampton Park is hard to beat

THE Hampton Park Bowls Club is on a roll after all three sides won on Saturday for the second week in a row.
The top two teams had to overcome stiff opposition to win by under 10 shots while the third-ranked team had a massive victory over Murrumbeena.

Hampton Park played host to Cranbourne and scraped in by just six shots. Rico Storm, Ellen Smith, Sean McDonald and skipper Mark Paton lost the last five ends to go down by three shots.
Keith Reid, Heather Naismith, Lionel Williams and skipper Neville Hendrie won 11 of the last 13 ends to finish 12 shots up.
Rayden Storm, Christine Hendrie, Geoff Ladner and skipper Warwick Hardy won the last few ends to win by eight shots.
Ian Bartlett, Andrew Brandolin, Zak Storm and skipper Graham Slight reduced their loss to 11 shots which helped with the overall win of the side.

Playing at Mentone, Hampton Park managed a win on only one rink but it was enough to win overall by seven shots.
Gerry Cox, Jeff Crozier, Geoff Ampt and skipper Denise Eastick had a brilliant game winning by 24 shots.
Vince Kovacic, Richard Pallett, Stan Hatch and skipper Larry Simpson stayed close to lose by just three shots.
Russell Stannard, Ken Cobden, Rob Woff and skipper Bob Naismith also hung on to go down by four shots.
Ann Westwell, Helen Lambert, Paul Barna and skipper Peter Hayden faltered at the end to finish 10 shots down.

Hampton Park had a great day as they played host to the undefeated top side Murrumbeena. The Parkers won by 50 shots and picked up 18 points.
Alex Williams, Kingi Horua, Ray Leggett and skipper Fred McBrian powered home to win by nine shots.
Liam Hemingway, Bruce Pointon, Jim Westwell and skipper Ray Wood led all day to win by eight shots.
Les Unwin, Ian Kitt, Keith Damon and skipper Allan Unwin lost only five ends to win by 26 shots.
Ann McKay, Len Bell, Brian Diaper and skipper Marion Battaglia had a mini-slump at the end but still won by seven shots.

Hampton Park Division 2 had Beaumaris as their guests and almost doubled their score to get all the points.
Neville Hendrie, Jim Westwell, Helen Lambert and skipper Denise Eastick had a tight game, winning by four shots.
Heather Naismith, Marion Battaglia, Ellen Smith and Bob Naismith kept their lead to win by six shots.
Geoff Ampt, Ann Westwell, Andrew Brandolin and skipper Christine Hendrie won 15 ends to finish 16 shots up.
In Division 3, the Parkers played at Murrumbeena, winning on one rink and losing overall.
