Hot Brandon is a dancer to the core

BRANDON Anderson is hot property in the dancing world.
He may have just turned 18, but the Endeavour Hills resident was recently accepted into all the dancing schools he had applied for to do full time study.
He has chosen to attend Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, though he was offered a place at Patrick Studios Australia and Dance Factory as well.
It came as no surprise for his teachers because the high achiever took out first place at the Casey Comps and West Gippsland Dance Festival as a member of Backstage Dance Academy’s senior hip-hop crew.
Director of Backstage Dance Academy Jess Solomon said since Brandon joined about nine months ago he has consistently been a dedicated and hardworking student.
“He was really eager to learn and broaden his training so he picked up almost every style that we offer including jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary and hip-hop,” she said.
“I did expect him to get accepted into most of the fulltime courses because he’s got a lot of potential and he’s a good performer and dancer.”
Brandon has enjoyed dancing from a young age and has danced hip-hop for about six years.
While he will have to travel long distances to get the Ministry of Dance in North Melbourne, Brandon believes it will be well worth the effort.
“I’m expecting to be worked to the absolute core as it’s going to be all about dancing,” he said.
“If it wasn’t worth it then I wouldn’t be wasting my time.”
As for the future, Brandon is still undecided on what he would like to do.
“For now it’s just training and getting my technique up and, hopefully, I’ll get opportunities out of it.
“I want to do an actual dancing gig, I’d like to do all kinds of stuff and do some teaching on the side to support myself.”
