Staff steer billycart students

By BRIDGET COOK

Staff from Bunnings Cranbourne visited Rangebank Primary School last week to help set the wheels in motion for a special project.
Bunnings team members hosted a DIY workshop with grade five and six students on Tuesday 23 July.
Teacher Debra Ignace said the workshop taught the students everything they needed to know to build a billycart.
“We wrote to them in the first term to see if they could help with a design and technology project we were doing with the senior kids,” she said.
“They donated everything we needed for three billycarts – the paint, materials, everything.
“Last week they came down to show us how to make one.
“Now we just have the put together the other two.”
Ms Ignace said later this year the school is having a billycarts and bikes day, where the billycarts would be put to good use.
