Cinema goes for gold

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

MOVIEGOERS throughout Casey will be lining up for front row seats this week when Gold Class is officially opened at Village Cinemas in Fountain Gate.
Village is encouraging patrons to come and experience the luxurious Gold Class after it opens at Fountain Gate today, 21 November, along with its plush reclining seats and state of the art cinema technology.
Duane Rowley, site manager for Village Cinemas Fountain Gate, said a Gold Class option was something a lot of people in Casey were looking for.
“Village has been at Fountain Gate for 12 years and is something people wanted,” he said.
“More guests will be able to come to Village, more feet through the doors.”
While waves of anticipation have been bubbling throughout Casey on the eve of tomorrow’s Gold Class launch, Village Fountain Gate is also set to open a huge 419-seat Vmax cinema in the near future, including first class stadium seating and extra leg room.
“Everything about Vmax is bigger,” Mr Rowley said.
“It has bigger screens, bigger seats and bigger sounds.”
Village Cinemas Australia CEO Kirk Edwards said the inclusion of Gold Class cinemas to Fountain Gate would be a fantastic boost to the shopping centre.
“We are very proud to be bringing Gold Class to one of Australia’s top family cinema destinations,” he said.
“It is a concept that is booming and is being noted as one of the best cinema experiences in the world.”
