Kids read all about it

DOVETON is fast becoming a haven for young and avid readers.
Last week Doveton College held another ‘Paint Doveton REaD’ early literacy event for children, put together by a group of parents and volunteers passionate about reading.
Four community literacy events have been planned for 2014, with last Wednesday’s Egg Launch initiative the latest in the line-up.
During the event a ‘reading egg’ was launched at the Doveton College’s Early Years centre – a papier mache egg which will ‘grow’ over time and make an appearance at Book Week at the Doveton Library in August.
And as if that wasn’t enough, a Community Literacy Mascot will be launched at the Doveton Show in September.
Reading has never been more fun!
