A 35-YEAR old Berwick woman is expected to be charged for allegedly drink-driving at more than four times the limit and travelling down the wrong side of the road in Officer this morning.
Police say they saw a black Toyota sedan travelling west in the right-hand lanes on Princes Highway at 2am.
The car’s front bumper bar was seen to be hanging loose and sparks were shooting from the car’s front wheel rim.
The driver recorded a 0.218 blood-alcohol reading – more than four times the legal limit.
She is expected to be charged with drink driving, driving in a dangerous manner and other traffic offences.
Her licence was immediately suspended and her car impounded, police said.
Police believe the damage to the car is recent and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen it in the Grandview estate area last night.
