POLICE were called to two dangerous fires in Tooradin on the weekend which may have allegedly been started by fireworks.
The two fires along the South Gippsland Highway, which police believe were deliberately lit, were reported around 11pm on Saturday.
The first fire was confined to 45 metres of roadside scrub, while the send fire engulfed a tree.
Both fires were safely contained.
Witnesses are believed to have seen fireworks shortly before the fires were spotted.
