A HUSBAND and wife from Narre Warren South have both been slapped with separate driving offences within a few hours of each other.
A 38-year-old man had his car impounded for a month on Friday night after he was caught driving in Berwick while his licence was suspended around 7.40pm.
It will now cost the alleged repeat offender more than $1000 to get his car back.
Meanwhile, when the man’s wife came to pick him up from the police station, officers charged her for being a Learner and travelling without an accompanying driver and without her L-plates displayed.
Despite showing police an overseas licence, detectives issued the woman with three infringement notices.
A police spokesperson said the couple caught a taxi home.
