Man charged with attempted armed robbery

Police are searching for a man allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery in Belgrave South.

A Hampton Park man has been charged with attempted armed robbery of a supermarket in Belgrave South on 19 February.
The 35-year-old had allegedly left the store in Belgrave-Hallam Road in a white Commodore with allegedly stolen plates just before 1.30pm.
He was intercepted in the vehicle in a car park off Dandenong Road, Springvale just before 3pm.
His charges also include intentionally causing injury, reckless conduct endangering injury and traffic offences.
The man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
Police are searching for a second man believed to be involved in the incident.
He is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 175 centimetres and wearing a blue hooded top and tan-coloured three-quarter cargo pants.
