Police have released footage of a man who may be able to assist an investigation into an attempted home burglary in Narre Warren.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives say a man unsuccessfully tried to open a locked front door at a Lantana Drive home about 12.15pm on 7 April.

He allegedly cut wire on a security camera and broke a garage window but didn’t gain entry to the property.

The man in the footage is described as 20-35 years with short dark brown hair and wearing a white T-shirt, hooded cardigan, black pants and black thongs.
