Students at Berwick College put their endurance to the test for an all-school planking challenge on 3 May.

It was a contest until the last student was able to keep their torso off the mat, and all for the school’s fundraising extravaganza Dunlop Week.

As part of the week, two students Chandler Taylor and Mae Ovenden Lloyd shaved their heads.

Others were sponsored to pound as many sit ups or push ups as possible within 30 seconds. One raised $93 in half-a-minute of strenuous work.

Ashleigh Manning, the school’s Dunlop student learning leader, said last year’s fundraising record was expected to be broken.

“Dunlop Week has been a great opportunity for the teachers and students to come together to build team spirit as well as raise awareness and funds for a great cause in the broader community.”

The funds go to two veterans’ charities the Dunlop Medical Foundation and Mates4Mates.
