Arrests at alleged clan lab

A man and woman have been arrested at an alleged clan lab raided by police in Hampton Park on 31 May.

Southern Metropolitan Divisional Response Unit police allegedly found chemicals and glassware believed to manufacture methamphetamine during the 8.30am raid.

Cannabis and a substance believed to be methamphetamine were allegedly found in the home, police say.

A 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

The man is assisting police with enquiries, while the woman was released pending further investigation, police say.

The police’s Clandestine Laboratory Squad attended to identify and remove chemicals and glassware and to make the property safe.
