Police hunt bandits on the run

Police hope CCTV images will identify those responsible for an alleged armed robbery in Narre Warren.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the Sunday 22 July incident.

They believe a young man was in a car park outside the food court at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre when he was approached by three men about 4pm.

Senior Constable Jo Macdonald said one of the men was armed with a knife and demanded cash from the victim.

“The victim handed over cash and the three offenders ran from the car park,” she said.

The victim was not injured.

Investigators have released still images of the men they believe may be able to assist their inquiries.

Police described them as 15 to 16 years old; one was of European appearance, about 5 feet eight inches with a stocky build.

The second man was described as being African in appearance and about 5 foot 9 inches tall with a slim build.

The third man was described as African in appearance, and about 5 foot 6 inches tall with a slim build.
