Funding programs now open

Community groups and organisations are encouraged to get their applications in with two funding programs that opened on Monday 25 March.

The 2019/20 Community Grants Program and the Event Funding Program are now open for applications until 5pm on 30 April.

Community groups and organisations who provide services and programs for the Casey community are encouraged to apply for the 2019/20 Community Grants Program. Financial assistance of up to $5,000 is available for not-for-profit community groups and organisations.

The Event Funding Program provides eligible organisations with funding to support large scale events that are held in Casey, engage residents, benefit local businesses and attract visitors. This three-year funding program supports the development and delivery of large-scale events in Casey including established community events, charity fundraising events and business events with up to $25,000 in funding available.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon said funding through streams such as these provide our community groups and organisations with crucial funds to assist in providing services, programs and events that ultimately benefit our entire community through the valuable work provided by these groups.

“I would encourage any groups interested in submitting an application to visit Council’s website or talk to the Grants Team to get clarification around the program guidelines, how to use the system to submit an application and tips on what makes an application great,” she said.

Applicants can talk through application ideas with a Grants Officer prior to commencing a grant application. Please contact the Grants Team on 9705 5200.
