Man charged following shooting

Homicide Squad detectives have charged an 18-year-old man after a Narre Warren South man was gunned down in a drive-by shooting at a Prahran nightclub in April.

Security guard Aaron Khalid Osmani, 37, was shot while standing outside Love Machine nightclub. He died in hospital on Sunday 14 April.

His sudden death shocked friends and family who described him as a “kind, funny and easy going guy.”

Detectives also executed a search warrant at a property on Linacre Drive, Bundoora about 10.20am on Monday 1 July.

The Bundoora man has been charged with two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder and will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court.

Police have also charged a 25-year-old man with accessory after the fact to murder/assist principal offender, prohibited person possess firearm, stalking, make threats to kill and other offences.

He has been remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 2 July.

Another man died following the drive-by shooting, and another four people were injured.
