A Berwick home had hearts racing on Halloween which attracted close to 500 people in search of sweets and fun on Thursday 31 October.

The team at O’Brien Real Estate in Berwick donated a supply of lollies for the spectacular Halloween display on Homestead Road.

“We chose to get involved to give something back to our community of Berwick with an annual tradition which is rapidly growing every year within our neighbourhoods,” sales associate of Berwick’s O’Brien Real Estate Candice Hill said.

“We jumped at the chance to help out and be a part of a new and exciting event – which brings together families across Berwick!”

The owners of the home, Lillian Weston and Alana Bell also ran a sausage sizzle with cold soft drinks and water also available for visitors.

“In return we asked for a gold coin donation for the Second Chance Cat Rescue charity tin,” Lillian said.

They thanked the generous donations from local businesses including Brumby’s Eden Rise, Coles Eden Rise, and Australia Butcher Store Berwick.

“At the end of the day it’s all about the kids and the enjoyment they get out of Halloween. For us it was also having a bit of fun, doing something good for the community and raising some much needed funds for a good cause that is extremely close to our hearts,” Lillian said.
