Property developer John Charles Woodman is listed as the first witness to be questioned in the IBAC anti-corruption hearings into City of Casey starting today (18 November).

Mr Woodman is the director of property developer Watsons.

He will be questioned as part of the IBAC investigation Operation Sandon into allegations of corruption involving councillors and property developers in the City of Casey.

On the eve of the examinations, a Casey spokesperson said it welcomed the hearing in the “public interest”.

“We remain committed to ensuring the highest standards of integrity and probity as we manage the rapid growth and development of our city.”

“Given this is an ongoing investigation we will not be providing ongoing commentary during the hearings.”
