Lottery officials have narrowed their search for Tuesday night’s elusive $50 million Oz Lotto winner and this morning revealed the winning entry was sold at a Tatts outlet in Hampton Park.

The mystery Victorian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1494, drawn Tuesday 4 October 2022. They scored the entire $50 million jackpot.

It’s the biggest Oz Lotto prize won this year and the fourth biggest lottery prize won from any Australian lottery game so far in 2022.

The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner and have to wait for them to check their ticket.

The winning entry was purchased at Hampton Park Lotto, Kiosk 1, 55 Hallam Road, Hampton Park.

The Lott officials are urging anyone who purchased an entry into Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw from Hampton Park Lotto to check their ticket as soon as possible and make contact to claim their prize.

Hampton Park Lotto owner Annabelle Johnstone said despite selling division one winning entries in all other lottery games, this was their first for Oz Lotto.

“We can’t believe it! It’s so exciting. It’s a phenomenal prize to win and we’re so happy to have sold the division one winning entry to one of our customers,” she said.

“We’ve sold division one winning entries in all other lottery games, but have been patiently waiting to sell one in Oz Lotto. This marks a full set!

“Congratulations to the winner and we can’t wait until you discover this life-changing prize. It will truly change your life and we’re happy to have helped make that happen.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was keen to unite Melbourne’s latest major winner with their mammoth multi-million-dollar prize.

“We’re on the edge of our seats waiting for our latest Victorian division one winner to check their ticket and discover their outstanding $50 million win,” she said.

“In Victoria, lottery players have up to 12 months to claim their prizes directly from us. Once the 12 months have surpassed, they can claim their prize from the Victorian State Revenue Office.

“However, we’re in the business of paying prizes, so we do hope the mystery winner comes forward soon so we can start the process of paying the prize into their bank account!”
