CASEY’S Kevin Bradford has dared to be the mayor with no hair.
Cr Bradford is set to shave his head as part of the 2006 World’s Greatest Shave Day to help raise funds for cancer.
He has called on the community to donate to the cause and said if he raised close to $100,000 he would part with his locks. Cr Bradford said if he could not raise enough money he would still colour his hair.
“I heard a mayor in Queensland shaved his hair and raised about $150,000 so I thought I would give it a try,” he said.
The annual World’s Greatest Shave will be held from 4 to 6 May and will help raise funds for patients and families living with leukaemia, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
Anyone wanting to donate to Cr Bradford’s head shaving appeal can contact the City of Casey’s customer service centres on 9705 5200.
