A five-year-old boy and a 78-year-old woman have been hospitalised after being struck by a car in Narre Warren this morning (6 June).

The two pedestrians were struck on Maramba Drive, near the Narre North Road intersection, about 8.45am, police say.

The boy was airlifted to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The woman was taken by road ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
