RESIDENTS at a Narre Warren nursing home enjoyed a day of celebration this week when the head of the Australian Coptic Church paid a special visit.
Bishop Suriel visited the Coptic Hostel on Monday to talk about his recent visit to Egypt.
Other church dignitaries including Metropolitan Bishoy and Bishop Mousa accompanied him.
Hostel manager Mercedes Benjamin said staff and residents had been preparing for the visit all week and everyone was very excited that the Bishop had decided to come and meet them.
Ms Benjamin said everyone had enjoyed a traditional Coptic Egyptian luncheon as part of the celebrations and all other residents had been provided with a lunch that reflected their culture.
