Let creative juices flow

THE City of Casey has called on talented young artists to hurry and get their artwork, writing or multi-media work into the 2006 Casey Creations Creative Arts Competition by 28 February – to be featured as part of the exciting National Youth Week activities.
City of Casey manager youth and community development Janette Green said young people could enter work that they had made as part of previous school projects, or something they put together a while ago, or create something new.
“As long as it is an original work we’d love to see it,” Ms Green said.
Casey Creations Creative Arts Competition is a popular, annual event for young people aged 10 to 25 who live, work, study or have a strong connection to Casey to showcase their original works and be in the running for great prizes.
Finalists will receive their prizes at a special ceremony at the Cranbourne Community Theatre, and selected artworks will be exhibited at various venues, including the Civic Centre Art Space and in an on-line exhibition via Council’s website.
“Whether your creative talent is in writing, painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, woodwork, poetry, web based art or film making, the only limit is your imagination,” Ms Green said.
Lions Club of Cranbourne, Angus and Robertson Bookstore (Fountain Gate), Artistcare (Berwick) and Berwick Artists Society Inc are proud to sponsor this City of Casey event.
