VETERAN Berwick artist Robyn Minicz has tapped into the topical issue of water with her latest photographic exhibition.
Six of Ms Minicz’s photographs, entitled Water Works, are currently being displayed at the Narre Warren Council Offices as part of the Civic Centre Art Space program for 2007.
Melbourne based artists Steve Zacharias and Enis Wintersea will also display sculptures relating to the water theme alongside Ms Minicz’s work.
The Berwick artist admits to being inspired by her father’s love of photography and her mother’s passion for travel – two elements she has successfully combined throughout her 35-year career.
“This collection focuses on water, a life-force which, these days, is as precious as the very air we breathe,” she said.
“This exhibition intends to highlight the beauty of our inland waterways which are becoming increasingly threatened, but which bring such peace and serenity to our hustle and bustle lives.”
Warm Water Green 1 and 2 will display the hot glass sculpture work and fractal tiles of Mr Zacharias and Mr Wintersea.
