LOCAL sporting clubs have the chance to record a win before their season starts with brand new uniforms on offer.
Clubs can apply for a grant of up to $1000 to provide uniform clothing and footwear for the upcoming season.
The money has been allocated by the State Government as part of its Our Club, Our Future sporting uniform grants program.
All clubs are encouraged to apply for the funding with priority given to disadvantaged and junior clubs.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said the funding would help many community sports clubs properly equip their squads and players.
“There has been a lot of interest across the state, but with applications closing for the first round of funding on 1 March, we want to ensure as many clubs as possible can share in the funding,” Mr Donnellan said.
The grants are available in two parts to make sure the opportunity is provided to all clubs – regardless of what season they play.
The second round of funding will be open for application until 3 September.
“I urge committees of the various clubs in this area to obtain and complete an application form so they don’t miss out on the opportunity of securing this money to assist their clubs,” Mr Donnellan said.
