POLICE raided houses in Hallam and Narre Warren on Wednesday and discovered 280 cannabis plants more than a metre high.
Senior Constable Damien Grange from the Casey Response Unit said the crew discovered the plants after search warrants were issued at both residential properties on Tuesday at 5.30pm.
Two men, 41 and 42, were charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, possessing cannabis and theft. They were remanded in police custody and appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning.
Sen Const Grange said there would be an ongoing investigation, as they believe there are more houses linked to the drug operation.
