PEDESTRIANS were stopped in their tracks last Thursday, when a bus ploughed into a bus shelter in Narre Warren.
The female driver of the Cardinia Transit bus drove into the Webb Street shelter, after a miscalculated turn.
Cardinia Transit depot manager Peter Davis said the driver was trying to get around another car.
He said no one was injured in the accident.
Adshel is required to supply, install, clean and maintain bus shelters in Narre Warren.
Adshel’s national marketing manager, Joana Barros, said the bus shelter was a write-off.
She said the damage bill was around $9,000, which included the removal of all material, installation of a new shelter, labour and glazing.
The bus shelter will be fixed by early next week.
