POLICE are on the hunt for a knife-wielding bandit who raided a Berwick service station yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Casey CIU Senior Detective Justin Stanton said the man threatened a Coles Express Service Station employee with the 20cm knife before stealing cash.
Sen Det Stanton said the assailant entered the store, near Eden Rise Shopping Centre, shortly after noon.
The police helicopter and Dog Squad were used in the search for the man who fled the scene in a silver coloured late model Toyota Camry.
The store attendant was not injured during the hold-up.
“Police are concerned with the level of violence used,” Sen Det Stanton said.
The man is described as being aged between 18 and 25 years old, wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket, dark coloured sunglasses and a dark coloured scarf which was covering half his face.
