LOCAL students did their bit for charity during a recent visit by Seeing Eye Dogs Australia.
Narre Warren South P-12 College students welcomed several seeing eye dogs in training into the school.
The school has already raised more than $1200 for the organisation through the sponsorship of four dogs over the last three years.
Aimee, Kya, Winter and Cheree have since graduated from training.
Teacher Trish Scanlon said the relationship between the school and Seeing Eye Dogs Australia was of great benefit to both parties.
“The college has a fund-raiser organised every year involving our prep to grade four children, which has been a wonderful experience for the students learning about visually impaired people and how important these dogs are in their lives,” Ms Scanlon said.
“Our Year 10 students will help dip dog-shaped biscuits in chocolate and our VCAL students will assist with a sausage sizzle to help raise money,” she said.
