Students dip into the deep end

TWO students from Gleneagles Secondary College have been accepted into the Kwong Dow Young Scholars Program at Melbourne University.
Year 10 students Yargi Kilinc and Gabriel Sadaka are among 700 students to score spots in the program, which gives them the opportunity to mix with future leaders. The tailored program aims to support and enhance secondary studies, inspire career plans and provide opportunities to interact with the University community. Teacher Meagan Neil said the program received more than 1600 applications from students across the state. According to Ms Neil, while the students are at an Endeavour Hills school they will receive an approved borrower card which allows them to access resources at any of the Melbourne University libraries.
Both students were welcomed into the program on Friday 11 December during an event held at the university.
