A HAMPTON Park veterinary hospital hopes to beat last year’s fund-raising efforts when they wash dogs for a good cause at the local fire brigade this month.
On 11 May, a mobile dog wash run by the Hampton Park Veterinary Hospital will be set up at the Hampton Park Fire Brigade, and all proceeds will go towards updating the brigade’s operation equipment.
Veterinary nurse Simone Coleman said she hoped the community and their beloved pets came together to beat last year’s amount of $600 raised for the brigade.
Ms Coleman, Doctor Cameron Rain, and dog groomer Nadine Power said they looked forward to the event as well as helping out a great community organisation.
The Hampton Park Fire Brigade is a fully volunteer-operated station which is busy year round.
The event will start at 10am until 4pm and will also include a a sausage sizzle run by the firefighters. Cost for dog grooming is $25 and $5 for a nail trim. The fire brigade is located at 112 Somerville Road, Hampton Park.
