Comets’ men couldn’t take the points at home against Langwarrin conceding a 1-2 loss on Saturday afternoon. North Caulfield was belted by Berwick City, with the visitors claiming a 3-0 win through goals to Ashley and Shane Savanah. Doveton couldn’t split itself from Peninsula Strikers in a 0-0 draw.
WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE AND STATE LEAGUE
Enza Barilla shredded the Casey Comets defence in its 1-4 belting by Bundoora United. Barilla slotted a hat-trick to take the points away from the home side. Tayla Vlaeminck slotted the solitary goal for the Comets on a horror night with a late red card to Shaunna Murray – red carded in the 90th minute. Next up is a difficult trip to Lakeside Stadium on 14 June to face South Melbourne.
Berwick City failed to fire against Caulfield United, losing 0-3 at home. City now face top of the ladder University of Melbourne away on Sunday afternoon.
